Visitors can experience the garden cultures of all 21 APEC member economies at the Shenzhen International Garden and Flower Expo Park, where dozens of national themed gardens have been upgraded.
Among them are the Canadian Moon Garden, California Sunshine Garden, Southeast Asian Vientiane Garden and Russian Pushkin Garden.
The Canadian Moon Garden now houses the first Shenzhen shop of One Step Garden—a Shanghai-based light-meal and coffee brand popular on social media. The revamped garden's dining area blends with its trees, fountains and lawns, making it an attraction for both its scenery and its lifestyle experience.
"I saw photos of the Canadian Moon Garden and the coffee shop on Xiaohongshu, so we came to check it out today," said Xiao Ya, a young visitor dressed in a vintage European-style gown. She said she and a friend spent the morning exploring the park before stopping at the café for coffee.
"It was the perfect day out—relaxing and fulfilling," she said.
Other gardens, including the Pakistan Garden and Japanese Tea Garden, have undergone interior renovations. New doors, windows, ceilings and curtains have made the spaces suitable for public-welfare events and nature-study activities.
"Even on a rainy day, this courtyard is so quiet and beautiful—with the pavilions, water features and delicate layout," said a young visitor at the Japanese Tea Garden.
The park had welcomed more than 2 million visitors by May this year, according to its management office. (SD News)

Metro: Take Line 1 to Qiaocheng East Station (侨城东站), Exit A, then walk 10 minutes to the park's West Gate.
Admission: Free
Recommended route: Start at the West Gate and head to Apple Land, a popular spot where visitors may encounter the park's resident cats. Continue along the northern loop to visit the four gardens: California Sunshine Garden, Canadian Moon Garden, Southeast Asian Vientiane Garden and Russian Pushkin Garden. Finish in the eastern section, home to a cluster of Jiangnan-style Chinese gardens.
