Shenzhen Metro will extend its service by 1 to 3 hours at major transport hubs and stations linking with border checkpoints with Hong Kong tonight for the year-end countdown celebrations for holidaymakers.
On New Year’s Day, some routes will extend service by 30 minutes to 1 hour for the holidaymakers, sources from Shenzhen Metro Group showed.
Tonight, the last train of Line 4 will depart from Shenzhen North Station no earlier than 2 a.m. the following day. The last trains of Line 5 and Line 6 will depart from the station no earlier than 1:30 a.m.
The final train of Line 11 from Airport Station will depart no earlier than 1:30 a.m. The final trains of Line 1 from Luohu to Zhuzilin, and of Line 13 from Shenzhen Bay Checkpoint, will depart no earlier than 2 a.m. the following day.
Tonight, the last trains of Line 10 and Line 4 will depart from Futian Checkpoint Station no earlier than 1:30 a.m. the following day. The final train of Line 2&8 from Liantang Checkpoint to Yantian Road Station will depart no earlier than 2:06 a.m., and the final train to the Window of the World Station will be no earlier than 1:13 a.m. the following day.
For train stations with heavy passenger flows, the final trains from the Window of the World Station to Qianhaiwan will depart at 2:10 a.m., and to Zhuzilin Station at 2:18 a.m. The final trains of Line 2&8 to Yantian Road Station and Wanxia Station will depart at the Window of the World Station at 1:26 a.m. and 1:55 a.m.
On Line 9, the last trains will depart from Shenzhen Bay Park Station at 1:47 a.m. to Qianwan Station and at 2 a.m. to Maling Station.
On Jan. 1, Line 4 will extend service by 30 minutes and Line 13 will extend service by 1 hour. The last Metro trains will depart from Shenzhen North Station, Airport Station, Luohu Station, and Shenzhen Bay Checkpoint Station no earlier than midnight (11:59 p.m.).
