On the wetland mudflats of the Dongguan Binhaiwan Bay Area, a vibrant ecological symphony unfolds every day. The area has recently attracted some special visitors: egrets standing proudly on branches and taking flight, and black swans, jointly composing a breathtaking ecological scene.

Boasting graceful necks and dark plumage complemented by their signature bright-red beaks, black swans glide leisurely across the water, carving elegant ripples on the sparkling surface. At times they spread their wings and fly low, framed against the distant city skyline and cross-sea bridge, staging a wonderful ecological encounter.

If black swans are rare guests travelling from afar, egrets are familiar regulars of Binhaiwan. Clad in snow-white feathers, they move with light grace. Modern urban architecture and wild creatures blend in perfect harmony here.

In recent years, the Dongguan Binhaiwan Bay Area has made vigorous efforts in mangrove restoration, water environment improvement and ecological shoreline development. It has evolved into a genuine "paradise for birds". Apart from the species featured here, numerous rare bird species including black-faced spoonbills, black-winged stilts and grey herons are all frequent visitors.
