On May 6, the Transportation Bureau of Huizhou released the statistics for transportation during the May Day holiday. During this period, Huizhou recorded a total of 987,300 outbound passengers, a 28.48% increase year-on-year, while 483,400 inbound travelers arrived from other regions, marking a 94.38% year-on-year surge.

Among them, road transport accounted for 486,800 passengers; rail transit handled 463,600 passengers, up 91.81% year-on-year; Huizhou Airport served 27,200 passengers, a 43.53% increase; and waterway transport carried 9,685 passengers, up 86.3% year-on-year.
Huizhou's 20 expressways waived tolls for approximately 3.52 million trips made by small passenger vehicles, totaling around 105 million yuan in toll exemptions.
