Recently, the Black-headed Gull, a nationally protected wild animal, has arrived in Dongguan's Binhaiwan Bay area to spend the winter. With its arrival, the total number of bird species recorded in Dongguan has reached 350, creating a picturesque autumn and winter scene with the vast sea and flocks of migratory birds.

This marks the fifth consecutive year that the Black-faced Spoonbill has visited the area. Last April, birdwatchers captured the rare sight of 11 Black-faced Spoonbills together in the tidal flats along the Binhaiwan Avenue.

Migratory birds continue to choose Dongguan as a "stopover" during their journeys, showcasing the harmony between the city and nature in a vivid annual spectacle. Visitors can unwind while birdwatching, enjoy the sound of the waves, and witness stunning seaside sunsets—all in one place at Binhaiwan.

Among these attractions, Dongguan's Gold Coast stands out as a popular spot for sea-viewing and photo opportunities. Spanning 7.5 kilometers, its flat and expansive recreational pathways make it the closest seaside destination in Dongguan, which it's perfect for a tranquil escape or an active coastal adventure!
