Shenzhen residents now have a new way to explore the city, and they have opened a pilot section of the leisure bike lane in Guangming District. This is the first comprehensive bike lane in the city, promising a unique riding experience for cyclists.

Starting from the Guangming Science City Exhibition Center and ending at Sun Yat-sen University's Shenzhen campus, the pilot bike lane covers a distance of 18.8 kilometers, taking about one hour and 30 minutes to complete. The route passes through key urban nodes, functional areas, and natural landscapes such as Happy Countryside, Guangming Lake Greenway, and Shenzhen Institute of Technology.

The lane aims to create an immersive green and beautiful display corridor, allowing cyclists to enjoy the stunning landscape of Guangming Science City, with its rolling hills, lush farmland, and the charm of scientific research and innovation.

Guangming District plans to further streamline the construction timeline of projects surrounding the bike lanes. It will take the lead in developing the University Circuit and Hongqiao Park Circuit of the leisure sports bike lanes. These circuits will connect important urban nodes, functional areas, and natural landscapes such as the Xidesheng Bicycle Museum, Xinbeitou Water System, Sun Yat-sen University's Shenzhen campus, Shenzhen Institute of Technology, Guangming Science City Exhibition Center, Happy Countryside, and Guangming Lake Greenway.
