Dongguan enterprises embrace global trade at the 137th Canton Fair

The 137th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) opens on April 15. This year, 458 enterprises from Dongguan are taking part, representing a total of 958 exhibition booths, including 112 premium brand booths from 26 leading companies, a significant rise in both scale and quality.

Dongguan's delegation features a strong presence of "little giants", high-tech firms, and industry champions, with products spanning electronics, smart equipment, home furnishings, and more. Out of nearly 1,000 booth applications, the final selections reflect the city's commitment to showcasing specialized, high-end manufacturing on a global stage.

Among the newcomers is Committed to Xcellence Co., Ltd. (CTX), a national-level "Little Giant" enterprise specializing in high-end display technologies. Their T-CON boards, Mini-LED, and OLED products have already entered the supply chains of top global brands, with exports accounting for 60% of their sales.

"We offer ODM services for international brands," said Wang Taigang, Vice General Manager. "Our goal at the Canton Fair is to explore markets along the Belt and Road and promote our next-gen display products to more global buyers."

Another first-time exhibitor, Kong Electric Appliance Co., Ltd. (KE), is making waves with its self-developed hair-styling devices, including a twist-heating flat iron that has already sold over 2 million units worldwide.

"Previously, we focused on R&D and OEM for high-end global brands," said company representative Huang Huanquan. "Now, we're stepping out with our own branded products. The Canton Fair gives us a critical platform to reach new markets and improve profitability."

Faced with shifting global trade dynamics, Dongguan enterprises are actively expanding into emerging markets. CTX targets Russia and Central Asia, while KE transitions from contract manufacturing to brand building and direct global engagement.

According to the Dongguan Bureau of Commerce, the city will continue to support its enterprises in tech innovation and global branding, using trade fairs to stabilize exports and optimize foreign trade structures. During this Canton Fair, Dongguan will also host investment promotion events for local specialties such as Shipai toys and Houjie furniture, further integrating industry chains and expanding its global footprint.
