Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding delivered a 48,000 cubic meter LPG/NH3 carrier for Greek operator Benelux on Monday, marking the company's transition from specializing in small gas carriers to now including medium-class vessels.
The vessel, named Olympios Gas on July 22, measures 190 meters long, 32.2 meters in breadth, and 19 meters in depth. Its fully refrigerated cargo tanks give it a combined capacity of 48,000 cubic meters, according to a statement released by Huangpu on Tuesday.

In addition to liquefied petroleum gas and vinyl chloride monomer, the vessel can carry ammonia and conduct multi-cargo changeover operations, a flexibility that broadens its commercial utility across petrochemical shipping routes.
The vessel meets IMO Tier III emission standards and carries a 7.5-year extended dry-docking interval and ice-class notation.
The delivery marks a strategic milestone for the China State Building Corp subsidiary, which has been expanding its shipbuilding capabilities.
