Recently, the K11 ECOAST Cultural Festival by The Sea, a groundbreaking event blending art, technology, and cross-cultural innovation, officially opened in Shenzhen's Nanshan District.

The festival, hosted at the newly unveiled K11 HACC—a multi-purpose art space designed by British architectural firm David Chipperfield Architects—showcases a dynamic lineup of exhibitions, installations, and interactive experiences.
Pioneering Digital Art and Cross-Cultural Synergy
A centerpiece of the festival is Lu Yang: DOKU The Flow, a solo exhibition making its debut on the Chinese mainland. Supported by French luxury brand Au Départ and the Foundation Louis Vuitton, the immersive digital installation merges philosophy, neuroscience, and cutting-edge technology. Lu Yang, renowned for redefining pop culture through digital art, challenges viewers to explore the blurred lines between reality and virtuality.

Meanwhile, the Encore dual exhibition spotlights Chinese rock music's evolution through rare photographs by visual artists Gao Yuan and Li Xiaoliang. This marks their first collaborative showcase, offering a nostalgic yet fresh perspective on China's underground music scene.
Interactive Art and Playful Installations
International flair abounds with Erwin Wurm's Hot Dog Bus, a whimsical interactive sculpture making its Shenzhen debut after captivating cities like New York and Hong Kong. Polish artist Monika Sosnowska's Tower, a commissioned architectural installation, distorts spatial perception through twisted metal forms, while the Chapman Brothers' The Ugly delivers biting social critique wrapped in dark humor.
