Shenzhen ports to serve more than 860,000 passengers during Dragon Boat Festival holiday

The Dragon Boat Festival falls on June 10 this year. Various ports in Shenzhen are estimated to witness a peak of entry-exit passenger flow. It is expected that the average daily passenger flow will reach 820,000, and the peak will exceed 860,000, according to the Office of Port of Entry and Exit of Shenzhen Municipal People's Government.

Luohu Port, Futian Port, Shenzhen Bay Port, Liantang Port, and the West Kowloon Station Mainland Port will be the main ports serving the passenger flow during the holiday, with the average daily passenger flow expected to reach 220,000, 210,000, 120,000, 90,000, and 95,000, respectively. With the forming of the one-hour living circle between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, travel between the two places became more convenient.

The Dragon Boat Festival falls on a Monday this year, enabling more people to travel between Shenzhen and Hong Kong. On the one hand, during the Dragon Boat Festival, various districts in Shenzhen will organize colorful folk activities, with many promotions and discounts being offered at the shopping malls. On the other hand, during the holiday, Hong Kong will also hold many dragon boat races and performing arts activities.
