The event included six poomsae (forms) competitions in KP60 men’s individual, women’s individual, and mixed pairs, as well as seven sparring matches, featuring K44 men’s 58kg, KP60 women’s 57kg, KP60 men’s 68kg, and the K44 mixed team event.
The official taekwondo competitions will be held in Huizhou from September 8 to 14 as part of the National Games for Persons with Disabilities. This test event served as a key rehearsal, assessing competition management, venue readiness, and logistical support.
Huizhou Gymnasium, the taekwondo venue, has undergone major upgrades to ensure full accessibility, including barrier-free routes, tactile paving, accessible restrooms, and designated wheelchair seating with clear sightlines.
The venue also includes an accessibility service center for information and assistance, with Braille maps at key entrances and restrooms, and audio guidance systems at major transition points, further supporting an inclusive environment for all.
