Made in Italy Day opened in Guangzhou's Liede

On May 7, the 3rd "Made in Italy Day" in South China officially opened at the "Haoyi Tianhe" Comprehensive Service Center in the Liede International Neighborhood, simultaneously launching the special exhibition Saperi Visibili: A Century of Made in Italy Packaging. The event is organized by the Consulate General of Italy in Guangzhou, with strong support from the Italian Cultural Institute in Beijing and the Liede International Neighborhood. The exhibition runs until May 14 and is free to all local and international residents, visitors, and design enthusiasts.

Guests from China and Italy gathered for a new chapter of cultural exchange

On the afternoon of May 7, guests from various sectors gathered at the Liede International Neighborhood for this Sino‑Italian cultural event. At the opening ceremony, the Deputy Consul General of Italy in Guangzhou delivered a speech, reviewing the long‑standing friendship between China and Italy, emphasizing the importance of cultural exchange and industrial collaboration, and expressing hopes for deeper practical cooperation and people‑to‑people ties between the two regions. The exhibition curator addressed the audience via a remote video message, sharing the curatorial vision and core concepts, and systematically outlining the century‑long development and artistic features of Italian design.

Strengthening international exchange through the Liede International Neighborhood

As a key platform for international cultural exchange in Guangzhou, the Haoyi Tianhe Integrated Service Center continues to serve as a hub for cross-cultural engagement and international collaboration. By providing venue support and comprehensive event services, the center played an important role in the successful staging of this year's Made in Italy Day.

The event not only created a valuable platform for cultural dialogue, design exchange, and industry cooperation between China and Italy, but also further enhanced the international profile of the Liede International Neighborhood. At the same time, it highlighted Guangzhou and Tianhe District's open, inclusive, and globally connected urban character, bringing fresh vitality to the city's international cultural landscape.
