On February 28, as Qingyuan celebrates the 37th anniversary of its establishment as a city, the 2025 Economic and Trade Fair, as well as the Ceremony of Concentrated Signing, Construction and Operation of Major Projects in the First Quarter, is held in Qingyuan.

A total of 168 major projects, with a combined investment of 95 billion yuan, were signed or put into operation. These projects span various fields, including industrial development, infrastructure, and public welfare.
Xu Jing, Chairman of Qingyuan Yueshi Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., introduced that the company is currently focusing on emerging industries such as chip computing power, autonomous driving vehicles, drones, aerospace and military industries, and 6G aerospace communication, closely aligning with the demands of current societal development. The company is preparing to build a new intelligent manufacturing project for high-frequency, high-speed, ultra-low-profile electronic copper foil with an annual output of 60,000 tons. Once completed, the project is expected to achieve an output value of over 5 billion yuan, generate more than 1 billion yuan in profits and taxes, and create nearly 1,000 jobs.

It is reported that Qingyuan's regional GDP has grown from 3.45 billion yuan in 1988, when the city was established, to 225.307 billion yuan in 2024. Currently, Qingyuan is home to 13 industrial platforms, including a national high-tech zone and a provincial-level economic development zone.
