Introduction: During a fencing bout, a fencer uses the tip of his/her sword to strike the opponent, with the tip making a thrust that touches the opponent's target area. The fencer who lands more hits in the end wins. Fencing consists of three branches: foil, sabre, and épée, each with its own target area and set of rules.
