Introduction: Competitive diving comprises platform and springboard events, in which athletes perform both required and optional dives. Platform diving is conducted from a rigid, non-springing platform 10 meters above the water. Under World Aquatics regulations, the 10-meter platform must be at least 6 meters long and 3 meters wide, with a non-slip surface. The 3-meter springboard must be at least 4.8 meters long and 0.5 meters wide, and also feature a non-slip surface.
