Huizhou issues 100 million yuan in talent housing vouchers

Huizhou, a city in Guangdong Province, is offering housing subsidies to attract and retain skilled workers.

Authorities in Huizhou have announced a 100-million-yuan programme providing "housing vouchers" that can be used to offset the cost of buying newly built homes.

The scheme targets a wide range of professionals, with support levels based on qualifications. Bachelor's degree holders and skilled technicians can receive 30,000 yuan, while those with master's degrees or senior professional titles are eligible for 50,000 yuan. Doctoral graduates and top-level professionals can receive up to 100,000 yuan.

Officials say the vouchers are designed to help talent settle in the city and support local development.
The programme is time-limited, with funds allocated on a first-come, first-served basis until the total budget is used up. Applications are open until late July 2026.
The vouchers can only be used by the applicants themselves and must go towards the purchase of new homes. They cannot be transferred or used for other expenses.
