Hengqin unveiled its latest supportive measures, effective from July 1st, for its sports development and connectivity with Macao. One of the key incentives is a one-off financial support for large-scale international and domestic sports events, ranging from RMB 2-8 million.
In addition to established sports events, self-branded competitions and signature events from Macao are also encouraged to come to Hengqin with incentives up to RMB 2 million and RMB 1 million, respectively.
Meanwhile, Hengqin will provide subsidies up to RMB 1 million for the construction and renovation of sports venues. Awards are also offered to local sports clubs, teenage sportsmen, and coach teams who win awards in competitions.
Guidance on the application of the aforementioned incentives will be issued later this month.
