The launch of the Guangzhou-Hong Kong Automobile Export Express at Nansha Automobile Port marks a significant achievement for Guangzhou-Hong Kong cooperation.
In 2024, more than 12,000 new energy vehicles were exported to Hong Kong through Nansha Port, nearly doubling the previous year's total and accounting for about half of the Chinese mainland's vehicle exports to Hong Kong.
Under the new model, exported vehicles can undergo customs clearance at Nansha Port and be temporarily stored until approval is received from the Hong Kong side, reducing the time required for vehicle registration and lowering Hong Kong storage costs by approximately 70%.
