The 33rd APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting will be held in Shenzhen from November 18 to 19, 2026. This year marks the APEC "China Year," with China focusing on three priorities: openness, innovation and cooperation.

The first downtown duty-free store in Guangzhou is set to mark its first anniversary on August 26. It opened at Guangzhou Friendship IFC Store, No. 5 Zhujiang West Road, Tianhe District, exactly one year ago.

The 2026 Southern China Book Fair opened at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou on August 27, strategically timed to align with the upcoming APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting, which will be held in Shenzhen later this year.
