The Bay to Bay Dialogue will be held on May 29 in San Francisco, highlighting cooperation between the San Francisco Bay Area and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). For more insights into the synergy between the two bay areas, and the development of the GBA in the eyes of foreign entrepreneurs, GDToday spoke with Harley Seyedin, the President of the American Chamber of Commerce in South China.

The Bay to Bay Dialogue between Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and San Francisco Bay Area will be held on May 29 (local time)  in California. Organized by Guangdong, Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Europe (France) Economic and Trade Cooperation Conference was held in Paris on May 24 (local time).

The first US-China Bay to Bay Dialogue was held in Berkeley, California on May 29 (local time). Dee Dee Myers, Senior Advisor to the Governor and Director of the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development, pointed out that the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is similar to San Francisco Bay Area, especially in terms of climate goals. Myers stressed there are a lot of opportunities for the two regions to work together.

The first US-China Bay to Bay Dialogue was held in Berkeley, California on May 29 (local time). Matt Mahan, Mayor of San Jose, indicated that the city hopes to establish sister-city relationship with Shenzhen in the future.

On May 29th, the Guangdong Department of Commerce and the Qianhai Management Bureau jointly organized an investment promotion conference in Qianhai to attract international investors to the Guangdong Free Trade Zone and promote cooperation between domestic and foreign enterprises.
