The Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) of the Macao Special Administrative Region said on Thursday that it had attracted 194 new investment projects from enterprises in the first half of 2026, up 7 percent year-on-year.
More than 60 percent of the projects were in the "1+4" industries, up more than 40 percent year-on-year, according to the IPIM. Projects in modern financial services, high and new technology, and the big health industry recorded particularly strong growth.
The institute said 133 investment projects were completed during the period, including projects involving listed and high-growth companies setting up operations or venture capital funds in Macao, reflecting international investors' confidence in the city's market prospects.
