British historian: How can we forget heroism of Chinese fishermen?

Recently, the film "The Sinking of the Lisbon Maru" premiered in Hong Kong, China.  It was also screened at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University for students.

British historian Tony Banham is the film's historical adviser. He has lived in Hong Kong for many years. Twenty years ago, he wrote the book named "The Sinking of the Lisbon Maru: Britain's Forgotten Wartime Tragedy." This film began with that book and then continued to delve deeper into the story.

This year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. "The Sinking of the Lisbon Maru" is published in Chinese in Hong Kong for the first time.
