Yang Zhen, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, attended and addressed the opening ceremony of the 2025 Imperial Springs International Forum held in Guangzhou in south China on Tuesday.
Chinese President Xi Jinping has successively put forward the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, the Global Civilization Initiative and the Global Governance Initiative, providing China's wisdom and solutions for responding to the changing world and solving the problems facing humanity, Yang said.
China is not only the initiator, but also a doer in promoting the implementation of the four major global initiatives, Yang added.
China is willing to work with all parties to address risks and challenges through solidarity and collaboration, unleash development vitality via openness and inclusiveness, pool cooperation strength through mutual benefit and win-win results, and promote practical achievements via concrete actions -- so as to jointly create a brighter future for humanity, Yang noted.
During this forum in Guangdong Province, 28 former foreign leaders from 23 countries and former heads of international organizations, as well as representatives from political, business and academic circles, engaged in in-depth discussions under the theme "For Global Cooperation and Solidarity."
