Shenzhen's Qianhai launches int'l travel routes to boost GBA tourism

ShenzhenQianhai welcomed its first dedicated international tour group on June 29, marking the launch of three new tourism routes designed to showcase the district’s unique appeal to global visitors. A 28-member delegation from Cambodia, including representatives from Air Cambodia and local travel agencies, experienced the inaugural "Qianhai International Tour Routes."

The group explored highlights like the futuristic Zhongshuge bookstore at Happy Harbor, rode the Bay Area Light Ferris wheel, experienced the Bao'an Electric Music Bus, and visited Qianhai Stone Park. These attractions are part of the three themed routes recently launched by the Shenzhen Tourism Association with support from the Qianhai Authority:

The Fashion Route: Features landmarks like One Avenue, Happy Harbor, and MixC Qianhai.

The Coastal Route: Offers seaside cycling and boat tours, blending ocean views with maritime activities.

The Future Route: Focuses on tech innovation, including the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Dream Factory, autonomous driving demo centers, and urban air mobility facilities.

The routes embody Qianhai's distinct character: Hong Kong flair, an international vibe, coastal charm, modernity, and futurism. Zhou Quanlin, Secretary of the Shenzhen Tourism Association, stated these routes "showcase Qianhai's cultural-tourism integration and explore new paths for tourism synergy within the Greater Bay Area," aiming to attract more international tourists.

Huang Yangrui, representing Air Cambodia, praised the experience: "Qianhai has reshaped my perception of urban tourism. We plan deeper cooperation to bring more Cambodian visitors." Travel agency representative Mr. Chan Ngy Kheng was impressed by Qianhai's modern landscape and cutting-edge technology, calling it "a testament to the development potential of Chinese cities" and promising to recommend it.

To enhance visitor stays, the Association recommends Qianhai's diverse high-end accommodations. Leveraging its prime location, Qianhai has attracted 16 international luxury and upscale hotel brands, forming integrated lifestyle hubs with surrounding commerce.
