Hedong Bridge, an artery stretching from Guangzhou’s Haizhu and Liwan Districts, will be closed for maintenance from August 13 to January 31 next year, requiring drivers to detour.

Detour plans for vehicles far from Hedong Bridge:

1.Peripheral route (Pearl River Bridge-Xinguang Bridge):

The lap enclosed by Guangyuan Expressway in the north, Guangzhou-Taishan Expressway in the south, Guangzhou-Foshan-Jiangmen-Zhuhai Expressway in the west, and Xinguang Expressway and Liede Avenue in the east.

2.Transitional route (Pearl River Tunnel-Luoxi Bridge):

The lap enclosed by Zhongshan Road in the north, Hanxi Avenue in the south, Guangzhou Ring Expressway and Longxi Avenue in the west, and Guangzhou Avenue in the east.

3.Core route (Zhoutouzui Tunnel-Yajisha Bridge):

Industrial Avenue-Zhoutouzui Tunnel-Fangcun Avenue-Dongsha Avenue-Guangzhou Ring Expressway-Yajisha Bridge

Detour plans for vehicles in Haizhu and Liwan:

East-west routes:

1. Changgang East Road-Zhoutouzui Tunnel-Huadi Avenue Middle

2. Xingang Middle Road-Yajisha Bridge-Fangcun Avenue

3. Changgang East Road-Zhoutouzui Tunnel-Hedong Road

4. Xingang West Road-Zhoutouzui Tunnel-Hedong Road

West-east routes:

1. Huadi Avenue South-Zhoutouzui Tunnel-Changgang East Road

2. Hedong Road-Zhoutouzui Tunnel-Changgang East Road

3. Hedong Road-Zhoutouzui Tunnel-Xingang West Road

4. Hedong Road-Zhoutouzui Tunnel-Changgang East Road

5. Fangcun Avenue South-Yajisha Bridge-Xingang Middle Road

As there is likely to be many vehicles converging at the intersection of Huadi Avenue and Hualei Road after the closing of Hedong Bridge, north-to-east turn will be prohibited at the junction.
