Starting from August 4, Guangdong has implemented new regulations to require all individuals entering Guangdong from Macao after July 24 ought to report to nearby communities and go through necessary health control procedures including 14-day quarantine in designated venues or at home.

According to Guangdong Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention, two health control measures are conducted for those inbound visitors from Macao as follows:
For those from red and yellow "health code" areas, there will be a 14-day quarantine in designated venues, with nucleic acid test conducted on the first, third, seventh, fourteenth day (from the date of entry).
For those from outside red and yellow "health code" areas, they are required to take "2 nucleic acid tests in 3 days" and a 14-day health-monitoring at home (from the date of entry).
As was reported earlier, two cases, both Macao residents, tested positive on Monday in Zhuhai. The health authority in Macao later tested them and their two children, which all came out positive.
For now, Macao has classified as red "health code" control areas three adjacent buildings — Mei Lin Building (美连大厦) , Fai Seon Buiding (辉信大厦) , Kian On Building (建安楼), as well as Wing Fat Building (荣发大厦) and the shops near Rua da Emenda (义字街). Moreover, a yellow "health code” control is also implemented in five buildings in the vicinity of red code areas — Lin Seng Building (胜连大厦), Chun Cheong Building (泉昌楼), Wo Heng Building (和兴大厦), Wa Keong Building (华强大厦) and Kin Keong Building (健强大厦).
Song Tie, Guangdong epidemic disease expert, has warned the elderly and patients with chronic disease against travelling, especially those who are not fully vaccinated or have been jabbed with COVID-19 vaccines within 14 days of the last dose.
