Guangzhou reported 1 local confirmed case and 5 local asymptomatic cases on May 28.

The confirmed case is one of the asymptomatic patients reported on May 27th: Male, 76 years old, lives in the east area of Heyuan Community, Liwan District. He is a close contact (husband) of the previous confirmed cases on May 26. His nucleic acid test for COVID-19 came back positive and he has been transferred to the Guangzhou No.8 People's Hospital for isolation and treatment. He was assessed as a confirmed patient after further inspection on May 28.

Asymptomatic case No.1: Male, 11 years old, lives in Xi Keng Xin Cun, Liwan District (广州市荔湾区西坑新村一巷), classmate of the confirmed case reported on May 26. He was identified as a close contact on May 26, and has been transferred to the designated hospital after being tested positive for COIVD-19 on the same day.

Asymptomatic case No.2: Male, 45 years old, lives in No.1 Hua Di Da Dao Nan, Xilang, Liwan District (广州市荔湾区西塱花地大道南1号), close contact of both a confirmed case and an asymptomatic case reported on May 26. He had been put under isolation on May 26 and is now receiving treatment at the designated hospital.

Asymptomatic case No.3: Female, 39 years old, lives in No.24 Jin Guang Street, Hua Di Da Dao Zhong Liwan District, (荔湾区花地大道中金光大街24号), parent of a student of Peizhen Primary School Heyuan Campus (培真小学鹤园校区). She took the nucleic acid test on May 26 and the result turned out to be positive for COVID-19 on May 27. She has been transferred to a designated hospital for isolation and treatment.

Asymptomatic case No.4: Female, 52 years old, lives in No.57 Nanzhou Ming Yuan Ju Street, Haizhu District (海珠区南洲名苑怡居街57号). She is the mother of asymptomatic case No.2 on May 26. She was identified as a close contact on May 26. She was transferred to quarantine and later to the hospital for isolation and treatment after her nucleic acid test for COVID-19 turned out to be positive. She was diagnosed as asymptomatic on May 28.

Asymptomatic case No. 5: Female, 53 years old, lives in Chi Gang Dong, Hai Nan Cun, Liwan District (海南村赤岗东约22号). Her nucleic acid test for COVID-19 turned out to be positive on May 27, and since then she has been transferred to the hospital for isolation and treatment. She was diagnosed as asymptomatic on May 28.
