The daily average passenger flow of Guangzhou Metro reached nearly 4 million last week, and is expected to further surge this week. Therefore, passenger flow control will be extended starting from March 16th.

There will also be more stations implementing control measures, 34 stations limiting passenger flow during the morning rush hour (8 on the north extension of Line 3, 7 on Line 3, and 7 on Line 6), and 15 stations will limit passenger flow during the evening rush hour (mainly on Line 3 and its extension).
