"If you want to exist in China as a global distributor, you must always be at the Canton Fair," said Mr. Dariusz Hajek, Vice President and Purchase Executive of TOYA, who has been attending the Canton Fair for over twenty years now.
TOYA group, a Poland-based company, is one of the world's leading manufacturers of tools and power tools. This year they will exhibit their line of YATO branded manual and electric tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers and electric glue guns at the fair.
The Canton Fair helps brand promotion
In Dariusz Hajek's opinion, attending the Canton Fair helps to promote the company's brand. He thinks they will sell more to more people thanks to the fair.

They can also improve their products by gathering suggestions from existing customers and distributors they meet at the fair. Therefore Dariusz plans to meet with at least 500 exhibitors to find out what they should plan for the future.
According to Dariusz, the Canton Fair is the most important fair worldwide, with almost every existing brand attending. Furthermore, China is still leading the way in manufacturing, "no matter how big a quantity you want to produce, you can do it in China," he said.
"So for everyone who is considering their future connection with China, this means (attending) the Canton Fair" he added.
From here to a wider global market
As an administrator of a Shanghai-based company, YATO (China), Dariusz revealed that he doesn't see as many visitors to the fairs in Shanghai, while the Canton Fair still attracts a large number of traders.
Canton Fair is an ideal place for both product exhibition and to find real customers, who are able to spend both money and time to attend, and are therefore genuinely interested in making a purchase. "For us, every Canton Fair is a very big project. What we need to do here is attract people from the countries where we are still not present," said Dariusz Hajek, they want to reach out to the entire global market through the fair.
The company is now looking forward to expanding their Chinese market with more investment, having built a 10,000 square meter logistic center in Zhejiang, which will handle both domestic and export sales.
