Born in a local workshop in Nanhai Foshan, Kurhn Doll represents the first doll brand in China that evokes a sense of national pride among consumers.

Kurhn Chinese Doll Museum, housing more than 1000 Kurhn Dolls, is the first venue for nothing but just dolls.

The designs of the doll, including costume, makeup, coiffure and accessory, are mainly inspired by household names in Chinese history, like Mulan, a women warrior. The inspiration was also drawn from Chinese culture. For example, a doll's costume design comes from A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountain (《千里江山图》) by Wang Ximeng (1096-1119) .

On the dolls "born" in Foshan, many local elements can be found. For instance, the paper-cuttings by Rao Baolian, a national intangible cultural inheritor, highlights the costume design and the doll with Kungfu clothing is the spotlight in the museum.

All these dolls keep track of all the big female names chronologically – changes of costume designs and women's mind.

On the 27th Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival, Kurhn Dolls became the introducer of Foshan culture, from which people from the rest of world have the access to learn about such cultural marks as dancing lion, Xiqiao Mountain and Qiandenghu Lake.
