On June 2, Guangzhou reported 11 new locally confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 4 previously asymptomatic cases. 2 new imported confirmed cases were also reported.

On the same day, 5 new locally asymptomatic cases and 5 imported asymptomatic cases were also reported in Guangzhou.

Since Covid was first discovered in China, until June 2, 2021, Guangzhou has reported a total of 838 imported confirmed cases and 433 locally confirmed cases (including imported related cases). A total of 1190 patients treated and have been discharged and 1 patient has died. Including the recent outbreak there are currently 80 cases still being treated in hospitals.

So far, 117 close contacts of the cases reported on June 2 have been isolated and all related areas have been disinfected.
