On June 3, Guangdong reported 7 new locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 cases, with 6 in Guangzhou and 1 in Foshan. Guangzhou also reported two confirmed cases that were previously asymptomatic cases, and 1 new locally asymptomatic case, according to the Health Commission of Guangdong.

2 confirmed imported cases were reported in Guangzhou, with one from Cambodia and another from the Philippines. The province also reported 3 imported asymptomatic cases, including 2 in Guangzhou from Cambodia and Turkey; one in Zhaoqing from the US.

As of Thursday, Guangdong had reported a total of 2,509 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 1,042 imported, according to the commission.
