As of 24:00, April 12th, Guangdong had reported 1,555 cases in total, 1,454 of which have now recovered. The province has reported 183 imported cases.

Moreover, Guangdong reported 31 more asymptomatic cases, with 29 in Guangzhou, 1 in Shenzhen and 1 in Foshan (all detected at entry point after through investigation).

2 locally transmitted cases in Guangzhou

Case 1, a 40-year-old male, Nigerian, living in Sanyuanli Street, Baiyuan District. Recently He went to Tongtong Trading City (通通商贸城) for business, and had close contact with a previous imported case.

Case 2, a 28-year-old male, Democratic republic of Congo, a student of Guangdong University of Technology. His recent activities were mainly centered around his residence and Xiaobei Road, Yuexiu District. He visited Firusz Bistro (绿松石小酒馆), a bar on Jianshe Sixth Road, and had close contact with a previous imported case.

1 case transmitted from Hubei in Guangzhou

A 50-year-old Chinese male was diagnosed. His residence in Guangzhou is located in Longtan Village, Huazhou Street, Haizhu District, and he is engaged in wholesale business. He drove back to Guangzhou from Wuhan on April 8th.

29 asymptomatic cases in Guangzhou

As of 24:00, April 12th, Guangzhou had reported 29 asymptomatic cases, 4 of which were imported cases detected at entry point. The other 25 cases (1 Chinese, 1 American and 23 African nationals) had close contact with previous imported cases, among which 7 people had visited Firusz Bistro; and 11 people had been to venues with a reported high rate of COVID-19, such as Tongtong Trading City. All these cases are now under quarantine and medical observation.
