Guangdong Province registered 13 new locally transmitted asymptomatic COVID-19 cases (with twelve in Guangzhou and one in Foshan) on Saturday, the provincial health commission said on Sunday.

The province also reported one imported confirmed COVID-19 case during the period, which was found in Guangzhou. The patient entered the city from Cameroon.

On the same day, five new imported asymptomatic cases from Bangladesh, Cameroon and Cambodia were also reported in the province.

By the end of Saturday, Guangdong had reported a total of 2,432 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 1,030 imported ones, according to the commission.

Guangzhou reported 12 asymptomatic cases and 5 imported cases on May 29

Accrodng to Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission, Guangzhou reported 12 local asymptomatic cases and 5 imported cases on May 29. All of them have been transferred to the Guangzhou No.8 People's Hospital for isolation and treatment.

Asymptomatic case No.1: Female, 11 years old, lives in He Yuan Xi, Liwan District (广州市荔湾区鹤园西12巷), classmate and close contact of the confirmed case reported on May 26 and an asymptomatic case reported on May 28.

Asymptomatic case No.2: Female, 55 years old, lives in Chi Gang Dong Yue, Hai Nan Cun, Li Wan District (广州市荔湾区海南村赤岗东约), close contact of an asymptomatic case reported on May 28.

Asymptomatic case No.3: Female, 47 years old, lives in Chong Tian, Hai Nan Cun, Liwan District (广州市荔湾区海南村冲田三巷), close contact of an asymptomatic case reported on May 28.

Asymptomatic case No.4: Female, 63 years old, lives in Chi Gang Shi Chang, Hai Nan Cun, Liwan District (广州市荔湾区海南村赤岗市场1巷), close contact of an asymptomatic case reported on May 28.

Asymptomatic case No.5: Female, 74 years old, lives in Chi Gang Cun, Hai Nan Cun, Liwan District (广州市荔湾区海南村赤岗村), close contact of an asymptomatic case reported on May 28.

Asymptomatic case No.6: Male, 32 years old, lives in He Yuan Dong, Liwan District (广州市荔湾区鹤园东十六巷), close contact of an asymptomatic case reported on May 27.

Asymptomatic case No.7: Female, 47 years old, lives in Zhong Hai Xiang Yuan, Haizhu District (广州市海珠区中海橡园), close contact of an asymptomatic case in Foshan.

Asymptomatic case No.8: Male, 60 years old, lives in east area of Jinxiu Bandao, Panyu District (广州市番禺区锦绣半岛东区). He was tested positive during the investigation for the people who have contact with previous cases.

Asymptomatic case No.9: Male, 70 years old, lives in Nanbian Erxiang, Hainan Cun, Liwan District (广州市荔湾区海南村南边二巷). He was tested positive during the investigation for the people who have contact with previous cases.

Asymptomatic case No.10: Female, 68 years old, lives in Nanbian Erxiang, Hainan Cun, Liwan District (广州市荔湾区海南村南边二巷), close contact of case No.9.

Asymptomatic case No.11: Female, 42 years old, lives in Chigang Xiyue, Hainan Cun, Liwan District (广州市荔湾区海南赤岗西约). She was tested positive during the investigation for the people who have contact with previous cases.

Asymptomatic case No.12: Female, 48 years old, lives in Chigang Xiyue, Hainan Cun, Liwan District (广州市荔湾区海南赤岗西约). She was tested positive during the investigation for the people who have contact with previous cases.

Detailed information on the 5 new imported cases in GZ on May 29

Imported confirmed case: Male, 34 years old, Chinese national. He departed from Cameroon on May 18, by flight MS888, MS958 and arrived in Guangzhou on May 21. After nucleic acid test sampling, he was transferred to the designated quarantine site in accordance with the full close-loop management procedure. He has been transferred to the Guangzhou No.8 People's Hospital for isolation and treatment.

Imported asymptomatic case No.1: Female, 42 years old, Chinese national. She departed from Cameroon on May 18, by flight MS888, MS958 and arrived in Guangzhou on May 21. She has been transferred to the Guangzhou No.8 People's Hospital for isolation and treatment after getting a positive result in nucleic acid test for COVID-19.

Imported asymptomatic case No.2: Male, 35 years old, Chinese national. He departed from Cambodia on May 20, by flight K6668 to Guangzhou on the same day. He has been transferred to the Guangzhou No.8 People's Hospital for isolation and treatment after getting a positive result in nucleic acid test for COVID-19.

Imported asymptomatic case No.3: Female, 41 years old, Chinese national. She departed from Bangladesh on May 13, by flight CZ392 to Guangzhou on the same day. She has been transferred to the Guangzhou No.8 People's Hospital for isolation and treatment after getting a positive result in nucleic acid test for COVID-19.

Imported asymptomatic case No.4: Male, 33 years old, Chinese national. He departed from Cambodia by flight LQ985 to Guangzhou on the same day. He has been transferred to the Guangzhou No.8 People's Hospital for isolation and treatment after getting a positive result in nucleic acid test for COVID-19.

Foshan reported 1 asymptomatic case on May 29

On May 29, one COVID-19 asymptomatic case was reported in the Nanhai District of Foshan city. The patient has been sent to the Fourth People's Hospital of Foshan for isolation and treatment.

More about the asymptomatic case: Ms. Liang, 31 years old, lives in Huafu Yushui'an community in Guicheng Street in the Nanhai District of Foshan (佛山市南海区桂城街道华福御水岸小区). Ms. Liang is the daughter-in-law and close contact of Ms. Chen, one asymptomatic case reported at the same area on May 28.

Due to the confirmed case reported on May 28, the Huafu Yushui'an community in Guicheng Street in Foshan's Nanhai District (佛山市南海区桂城街道华福御水岸小区), has been elevated to a medium-risk area for COVID-19 as of May 29, according to the local authority.
