On June 17, Guangdong had 1 new locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 case, that was reported by Foshan.
The province also reported 8 imported confirmed cases, with 2 in Guangzhou from Japan; 4 in Shenzhen from South Africa, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Indonesia; 2 in Foshan from Ghana and Cambodia.
The province had 4 imported asymptomatic cases, including 1 in Guangzhou from Australia; 1 in Shenzhen from South Africa; 2 in Foshan from Cambodia.
As of June 17, Guangdong had reported a total of 2,666 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 1,109 imported.

Confirmed case: Male, 64 years old, lives in Zhonghai Jincheng Community, Guicheng Street, Nanhai District, (南海区桂城街道中海锦城小区), a close contact of previously confirmed case.
He has been transferred to designated hospital for quarantine and treatment after testing positive for COVID-19 on June 17.
Guangzhou's Liwan lowered 3 areas to low risk for COVID-19 on June 17

According to Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission, Guangzhou adjusted three areas of COVID-19 risk rate on June 17.
Zhongnan Street (中南街) in Liwan District was downgraded to low risk from high risk. And the district's Dongjiao Street (东漖街), Chongkou Street (冲口街) were adjusted to low risk from medium risk as well.
Partial dine-in services resumed in Guangzhou's Huangpu
According to the latest epidemic control and prevention notice issued by Huangpu's authority, the district has resumed dine-in services from June 18, requiring restaurants set up tables not exceed 70% of the usual, and should serve at most ten people at each table.
All restaurants are required to follow the epidemic prevention and control measures, including wearing masks, checking temperature and health code. Also, restaurants should provide serving chopsticks and spoons for customers.
