On June 6, Guangdong reported 4 new locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 cases with 3 in Guangzhou and 1 in Shenzhen. Guangzhou also reported 1 confirmed case that was previously asymptomatic case. And two new locally asymptomatic cases were reported in Guangzhou and Zhanjiang.

1 confirmed imported case was reported in Guangzhou from Tanzania, 2 confirmed imported cases were reported in Foshan from the UAE. The province also reported 10 more imported asymptomatic cases, including 7 in Guangzhou from Qatar, Indonesia, Mexico, Tanzania, Liberia and Cameroon as well as 1 in Jiangmen from France and 2 in Zhaoqing from Turkey and Niger.

As of last Sunday, Guangdong had reported a total of 2,542 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 1,052 imported cases, according to the Health Commission of Guangdong.
