All indoor entertainment venues in Guangzhou, including movie theaters, karaoke bars and internet bars, were suspended, according to a notice issued by the Guangzhou Municipal Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau on June 7, in order to further strengthen the prevention and control of COVID-19 in the city. 1. Public cultural and tourism places are required to follow strict prevention and control measures.
(1) All types of public cultural and tourism venues in high-risk areas and regions where closed management is implemented are suspended.
(2) Public cultural and tourism places in other areas of the city should strictly implement the following prevention and control measures:
(a). Indoor entertainment venues, including cinemas, theaters, karaoke bars, and internet bars, are temporarily suspended.
(b). The indoor parts of tourism destinations are also temporarily suspended.
(c). Public cultural venues, such as libraries, museums, cultural centers, and art galleries, as well as the outdoor parts of attractions are allowed to host up to 50 percent of their daily maximum reception capacity, and must implement preventive and control measures such as making an appointment, off-peak travel, temperature measurement, showing green health code, and wearing masks.
2. Travel agencies are advised not to organize groups to travel out of Guangzhou or Guangdong.
3. Strictly control mass gathering activities. Online meetings, training and events are encouraged. Encourage online activities such as virtual tours.
The above prevention and control measures are subject to adjustment according to the epidemic and the needs of prevention and control.
Updated: Dine-in services suspended in 7 districts in Guangzhou
Up to now, 7 districts in Guangzhou have suspended dine-in services across the whole district, including Huangpu, Baiyun, Liwan, Panyu, Haizhu, Nansha, and Yuexiu. However, self-pickup and delivery ordering services are still available in several districts such as Haizhu, Nansha and Yuexiu.
Tianhe today (June 9) announced that all public catering units in the district including breakfast bars, beverage shops and snack bars, should cap their customer limit at 50 percent of usual capacity and reconfigure their dining halls so that there is no less than one-meter space between tables. Pick-up at the restaurant or takeaway meals are encouraged.
