From September 10 to 13, the 18th China-ASEAN Expo has been held in Nanning, China. As many times as Guangzhou has participated in the Expo, this is the first time for the Guangzhou enterprises to be grouped together in the exhibition. Also, Guangzhou set a first-time digital economy exhibition area, and organized a Roundtable Meeting on Investment Cooperation & Promotion Conference on ASEAN Industrial Parks.

14 Guangzhou enterprises from a variety of fields such as new infrastructure, international logistics, VR equipment, cloud services, and smart appliances, have established a digital economy exhibition area on the expo, demonstrating their innovations in digital trade.

The 408 - square meter area displayed a variety of Guangzhou's digital techniques, technological achievements, economic industry, and cultural characteristics, through up-to-date techs including 5G, virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality, and 3D simulation.

A relevant official of the Guangzhou Municipal Commerce Bureau has spoken highly of Guangzhou enterprises' attending as a group and exploiting the Expo platform to their advantages. The efforts are expected to be a domestic market-booster and facilitate the expansion of foreign trade.

The Roundtable Meeting on Investment Cooperation & Promotion Conference on ASEAN Industrial Parks, one of the forum events of the Expo, was organized by Guangzhou Municipal Commerce Bureau and was launched on September 11 in Nanning.

During the meeting, Guangzhou reached an agreement on digital cooperation with Guangxi and ASEAN representatives, which is to help Guangzhou tap into rich resources of the Belt and Road initiative, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and the Regional Economic Cooperative Partnership (RCEP).
