On December 13, Guangzhou's Yuexiu District reported one inbound traveler who tested positive for COVID-19 during home quarantine after being released from centralized quarantine. The case was found during routine health monitoring and has been transferred to the Guangzhou Eighth People's Hospital (a hospital designated for coronavirus disease patients) for isolation treatment.

The case returned to China via Shanghai on November 26, and completed a 14-day centralized quarantine. After the quarantine was lifted on December 11, the individual arrived at Baiyun International Airport in the afternoon of December 11 and was transferred to No.65 Tiansheng Village (天胜村65号) in a closed loop for home isolation. 

At present, Yuexiu District has quickly implemented prevention and control measures for the above-mentioned area as well as surrounding areas in accordance with the requirements for epidemic prevention and control.
