The 8th Franco-Chinese Month of the Environment will be opened in Guangzhou and Shenzhen from October 15 to November 15. This year's event will take advantage of the theme "earth’s resources" to comprehensively display and discuss the resources contained in our planet, the threats we face, and their impact on human life now and in the future. The event mainly has the following activities in South China.
1. Workshops and Markets
Everyone is welcome to visit interesting markets and workshops in Guangzhou and Shenzhen to add fun to the weekend.
On October 24, the Floristry and Recycling Materials Workshop in Guangzhou will demonstrate using renewable materials with flowers and plants to decorate your room.
On November 7, at the Green Market in Shenzhen, people will see different companies and charity organizations displaying their native products, handicrafts made from recycled materials, and learn about some environmentally friendly projects. Some French students in Shenzhen will also share their French green life-styles. At the same time, people can participate in workshops to make 100% natural aromatherapy candles.
2. Gathered companies
On October 17, at the opening ceremony of the event, the organizer will cooperate with the SEE Foundation to host the first Sino-French Enterprises Green Sustainable Development Forum in the Pearl River Delta region. More than 20 companies, associations and research institutions will be invited to participate in a full-day activity, sharing their experiences with the integration of green resources in the supply chain of various industries, and jointly contributing to the overall sustainable development of the Pearl River Delta.

3. Experts’ voices
On October 24, scientific experts will reveal the secrets of sky, soil, sea, and let the public know and pay attention to the natural resources around them.
On October 23 and 30, Chinese and French experts will hold two high-level dialogues on the theme of future design and sustainable development.
4. Visual feast
On October 24, two exhibitions will be opened simultaneously at the Guangdong Science Center. The public can learn about "Space Technology for Biodiversity" and "Save the Earth's Insects" in the next month.
On October 28, November 4, and November 11, three films and documentaries—“Legacy, notre heritage”, “La Croisade”, “Bigger than us”—will call on everyone to cherish the earth’s heritage and understand how the younger generation strives to protect the environment.
The schedule of 8th Franco-Chinese Month of the Environment in Guangzhou and Shenzhen
The Franco-Chinese Month of the Environment is the only themed festival organized by foreign embassies in China. It opens to both the general public and professional audiences, presenting unique interdisciplinary content and inviting the public to re-understand the earth's resources on which mankind has survived.
