Sino-French cultural festival kicks off in Guangdong

After a pandemic-induced suspension in 2020, the 15th Sino-French Festival Croisements resumed from April 21 to July 31 in 14 cities across China with 78 cultural activities.

After a pandemic-induced suspension in 2020, the 15th Sino-French Festival Croisements resumed from April 21 to July 31 in 14 cities across China with 78 cultural activities. Among them, 21 events will be held in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Foshan, highlighting visual arts, fashion, music, gourmet, books, and films.

Here are some highlights of the festival:

Venue: 104B, 1/F (一楼104B)

Tickets: Free admission

Venue: Jupiter Museum of Art, 6 Lanhua Road, Futian District, Shenzhen (深圳福田区蓝花道6号木星美术馆)

Metro: Line 4 to Futian Checkpoint Station (福田口岸站), Exit B and then take a taxi

Exhibition featuring exchange between both China and France in protecting and repairing cultural relics and artworks

Time: June 2 - June 15, 2021

Venue: Guangzhou Museum of Art (广州艺术博物院)

Tickets: Free admission

Nearest bus stop: Take Bus No. 63 or 245, and get off at the Guangzhou Museum of Art (Luhu Lake) station.

A series of events including a string quartet concert, a retrospective exhibition, a lecture, a fable reading session, and a fable illustration workshop featuring Jean de La Fontaine, poet whose fables rank among the greatest masterpieces of French literature.

Time: June 1 - June 30, 2021

Venue: Guangzhou Library (广州图书馆)

Nearest metro station: Take Metro Line 3 or 5 and get off at the Zhujiang New Town Station, then use the GT Land Plaza Exit.

The 2021 Music Day featuring 7 bands from both China and France as well as French and Cantonese delicacies

Venue: De Sheng New City Axle Wire Park, Shunde, Foshan (顺德金凤凰广场)

Add.: 50 meters eastwards, intersection of Xingye Road and Jingui Road, Shunde, Foshan

Admission: Free

In addition, another 5 concerts will be held at 191Space, T:union and Charlie's Cafe in Guangzhou.
