On May 30, Foshan reported 2 new local confirmed cases, both of which are previously asymptomatic cases, 1 local asymptomatic case and 1 imported asymptomatic case.

Detailed information on those previously-asymptomatic confirmed cases:

Case No.1: Female, 40 years old, lives in Lüyinming Garden, Chancheng District (禅城区绿茵鸣苑). On May 27, she was diagnosed as an asymptomatic case. On May 30, fever symptoms and the CT re-examination result showed that there was inflammation in her lung. After expert consultation, she was diagnosed as a confirmed case.

Case No.2: Female, 56 years old, lives in Huafu Royal Waterfront Community, Nanhai District (南海区平洲华福御水岸). On May 28, she was diagnosed as an asymptomatic case. On May 30, fever symptoms and the CT re-examination result showed that there was inflammation in her lung. After expert consultation, she was diagnosed as a confirmed case.

Detailed information on the new local asymptomatic case:

Female, 46 years old, lives in Huafu Royal Waterfront Community, Nanhai District. She is a close contact of an asymptomatic case reported on May 28. On the evening of May 25, they had danced together at the square of the residential community.

After her nucleic acid result showed positive during the quarantine, she was transferred to Foshan No.4 People's Hospital for isolation and treatment. According to the CT examination and expert consultation, she was diagnosed as an asymptomatic case.

Up to now, 33 close contacts have been identified and put under quarantine for medical observation. The relevant residences and venues have all been disinfected.

Due to the confirmed case reported on May 30, the Lüyinming Garden in Shiwan Street in Foshan's Chancheng District (佛山市禅城区石湾镇街道绿茵鸣苑小区), has been elevated to a medium-risk area for COVID-19 as of May 30, according to the local authority.
