Shenzhen has fully implemented a closed-loop management system for ports in which crew members working with freighters must live in assigned accommodation and comply with necessary isolation measures, said Zeng Yuexiong, an official of the transportation bureau of Shenzhen.
And the first round of nucleic acid tests has been conducted for all 13,618 crew members in Shenzhen Port since May 21. Also, the city has completed a full coverage of nucleic acid tests for about 130,000 employees in the public transportation sector, with the results all showing negative.
At present, Shenzhen International Airport has about 11 international passenger flights and 40 international cargo flights per week on average. It has taken a closed-loop management for quarantined passengers and crew members in international flights, installed automatic disinfection equipment for luggage, and has strict inspection on cold-chain products and containers.
The closed-loop management system has also been conducted for the drivers engaged in Shenzhen-Hong Kong cross-border cargo transportation when they arrive in Shenzhen. It has been reported that a special service system will also be launched for the cross-border cargo drivers.
In terms of the transportation of imported cold-chain products, the system now requests relevant practitioners to take regular nucleic acid tests, and to supervise the whole transportation process of products as well as containers.
