New measures on large-scale nucleic acid testing, catering and public transportation have been introduced to curb the spread of COVID-19 in Guangzhou.
Haizhu and Yuexiu to start new round of nucleic acid tests from today
A new round of nucleic acid test will be conducted on certain key streets in Haizhu and Yuexiu districts from June 10.
Haizhu District will conduct nucleic tests on all residents on Chigang (赤岗), Xingang (新港), Changgang (昌岗), Binjiang (滨江), Jiangnanzhong (江南中), Haizhuang (海幢), Longfeng (龙凤), Shayuan (沙园), Nanshitou (南石头), Fengyang (凤阳), Ruibao (瑞宝), Nanzhou (南洲), and Pazhou (琶洲) streets, especially those who have not received nucleic acid tests since June 8.
Yuexiu District will conduct nucleic tests on permanent residents and people working on Beijing (北京), Liurong (六榕), Liuhua (流花), Guangta (光塔), Renmin (人民), Dongshan (东山), Nonglin (农林), Datang (大塘), Zhuguang (珠光), Dadong (大东), and Kuangquan (矿泉) streets.
If people have just received the COVID-19 vaccine (either the first or second dose), they should take their nucleic acid tests at least 24 hours after the vaccination.
4 more districts to restrict or suspend dine-in services
All restaurants in Tianhe District can only operate at 50% capacity from June 9. It is required that all people present their health code and wear a mask before entering dining venues in the district.
Dine-in services of all restaurants in Conghua, Huadu and Zengcheng will be suspended from June 10.
As of June 10, except Tianhe District, all the other 10 districts in Guangzhou have ended dine-in services.
4 stations to suspend road passenger services
Road transport services of Haizhu Passenger Station (海珠客运站), Luochongwei Passenger Station (罗冲围客运站), Xiamao Stop (夏茅招呼站) and Conhua Passenger Station (从化汽车站) have been halted since 0:00, June 9. Passengers who fail to make their trips can apply for a free ticket refund in the stations’ WeChat Official accounts or at the ticket window.
