Guangdong registered 10 new locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 cases and 9 confirmed cases that were previously asymptomatic cases on June 7. Fourteen of the confirmed cases were reported in Guangzhou, three in Shenzhen, one in Foshan and one in Zhanjiang. The province also reported three imported confirmed cases and nine imported asymptomatic ones.

Regarding the 14 cases in Guangzhou, 4 of these were previously asymptomatic cases and were diagnosed as confirmed cases of COVID-19 on June 7 following the results of chest CT scans and expert consultation during treatment at the Guangzhou No.8 People's Hospital.

Confirmed Case No.1: Male, 15 years old, lives in Lane 6, Heyuan Middle Road, Baihedong Street, Liwan District (荔湾区白鹤洞街道鹤园中路六巷), a close contact of a confirmed case on June 6.

Confirmed Case No.2: Male, 44 years old, lives in Lane 6, Heyuan Middle Road, Baihedong Street, Liwan District (荔湾区白鹤洞街道鹤园中路六巷), a close contact of a confirmed case on June 6.

Confirmed Case No.3: Female, 45 years old, lives in Heyuan Xiaoqu, Baihedong Street, Liwan District (荔湾区白鹤洞街道鹤园小区), a close contact of the confirmed cases of No.6 on June 3 and No.3 on June 5.

Confirmed Case No.4: Male, 17 years old, lives in Heyuan Xiaoqu, Baihedong Street, Liwan District (荔湾区白鹤洞街道鹤园小区), a close contact of the confirmed case No.6 on June 3 and confirmed case No.3 on June 5.

Confirmed Case No.5: Female, 67 years old, lives in Lane 13, Heyuan East Road, Baihedong Street, Liwan District (荔湾区白鹤洞街道鹤园东十三巷), detected from key population screening.

Confirmed Case No.6: Male, 67 years old, lives in Lane 13, Heyuan East Road, Baihedong Street, Liwan District (荔湾区白鹤洞街道鹤园东十三巷), detected from key population screening.

Confirmed Case No.7: Female, 71 years old, lives in Lane 13, Heyuan East Road, Baihedong Street, Liwan District (荔湾区白鹤洞街道鹤园东十三巷), detected from key population screening.

Confirmed Case No.8: Male, 81 years old, lives in Lane 13, Heyuan East Road, Baihedong Street, Liwan District (荔湾区白鹤洞街道鹤园东十三巷), a close contact of today’s confirmed case No.7.

Confirmed Case No.9: Female, 44 years old, lives in Lane 13, Heyuan East Road, Baihedong Street, Liwan District (荔湾区白鹤洞街道鹤园东十三巷), a close contact of today’s confirmed case No.7.

Confirmed Case No.10: Male, 55 years old, lives in South Street, Beilian Village, Dashi Street, Panyu District (番禺区大石街道北联村南大街), a close contact of a recent confirmed case.

All the above cases were detected from key population screening, and have been transferred to the Guangzhou No.8 People’s Hospital for quarantine and treatment.

So far, 243 close contacts of the cases reported on June 7 have been isolated and all related areas have been disinfected.

Imported confirmed case No.1: Female, 35 years old, departed from Cambodia on May 27, by flight K6668, and arrived in Guangzhou on the same day.

Imported confirmed case No.2: Male, 32 years old, departed from Qatar on May 20, by flight QR273, CZ308, and arrived in Guangzhou on May 22.

Imported confirmed case No.3: Male, 66 years old, departed from Zambia on June 2, by flight EK714, EK362, and arrived in Guangzhou on June 5.

Imported asymptomatic confirmed case No.1: Male, 50 years old, departed from Burundi on June 2, by flight KQ461, KQ882, and arrived in Guangzhou on June 5.

Imported asymptomatic confirmed case No.2: Female, 22 years old, departed from Britain on June 3, by flight KL1008, CZ308, and arrived in Guangzhou on June 5.

Imported asymptomatic confirmed case No.3: Male, 45 years old, departed from Cambodia on June 3, by flight K6668, and arrived in Guangzhou on the same day.

Imported asymptomatic confirmed case No.4: Male, 43 years old, departed from Djibouti on May 20, by flight FZ602, EK362, and arrived in Guangzhou on May 22.

Imported asymptomatic confirmed case No.5: Male, 19 years old, departed America on May 22, by flight CZ328, and arrived in Guangzhou on May 23.

All these cases have all been transferred to the Guangzhou No.8 People’s Hospital for isolation and treatment after registering a positive result in nucleic acid test for COVID-19.
