World's largest cross-sectional power cable put into operation in Shantou
​The transmission project for the Datang Shantou Nan'ao Lemen I Offshore Wind Power Expansion Project in Shantou, Guangdong, was energized and put into operation on July 25, marking the commercial use of the world's first 3,500-square-millimeter smooth aluminum-sheathed power cable. The cable has the largest cross-sectional area of its kind in the world.
