According to the conference, Guangdong has basically built the largest technical education system in China.

Yang Hongshan, deputy director general and inspector at level 1 of the Human Resources and Social Security Department of Guangdong Province, said that in recent years, Guangdong focused on the three programs as well as "rural e-commerce", "rural craftsmen" and other projects to carry out skills training work, and a total of 7.21 million people have been trained. Guangdong had created more than one million new jobs by the end of November and held several skill competitions this year.
With 148 technical schools and 634,000 students, Guangdong's technical education system accounts for 1/6 of the country. This year, more than 190,000 students, accounting for more than 80 percent, were enrolled from rural teenagers, migrant workers, farmers and other groups. During the 2020-2021 school year, 411,100 students of technical schools in Guangdong received tuition-free education and about 28,000 students received national grants.
In addition, Guangdong has provided free online and practical training for farmers, helping them improve their skills through livestreaming, lectures and other ways.
He Jiamin, deputy mayor of the People's Government of Zhanjiang Municipality, pointed out that since this year, Zhanjiang has offered nearly 19 million yuan in training and employment subsidies for housecraft services, which has brought 32,700 jobs. At present, there are 58,000 homemaking workers in Zhanjiang city, of which 80 percent are rural residents.
Zhanjiang carried out the mode of "Nanyue Housecraft + community service" earlier in the province and built 12 household service stations. It set up the first "Nanyue Housecraft" WeChat service account that has attracted 416 enterprises. Also, Zhanjiang provides housecraft training for 3,250 poor workers and helps 2,316 people get employed.
According to Song Tie, deputy mayor of the People's Government of Chaozhou Municipality, 27 training bases (stations) have been set up in Chaozhou to train more than 10,000 rural chefs of Chaozhou cuisine, and nearly 2,000 poor laborers have become professional cooks.
