Nuckcheddy Parvez is a businessman from Mauritius. He has lived in Guangzhou for three years. When a COVID-19 case was reported in Luopu Community, Panyu District, he registered as a volunteer immediately. Since the end of May, he has been providing volunteer services to the residents of Luopu community.

"I became a volunteer in the community during the pandemic last year. I usually distribute leaflets of epidemic prevention information to the residents here and take their temperature. Since I am from Mauritius and speak French and English, I also provide translation services." Nuckcheddy Parvez believes that everyone needs to share with each other and the community.

There are currently more than 500 foreign residents in the Luopu community. During the pandemic period, foreign volunteers help the community to better their communication with the foreign residents. The volunteers also provide these foreigners with epidemic prevention and control services. The epidemic prevention leaflets issued by the community are also available in Chinese, French and English.
