2025 Hardware & Building Materials Expo in Zhaoqing expands into ASEAN

On July 10, the 3rd China (Jinli) Hardware & Building Materials Expo and the Hardware & Building Materials Linking ASEAN Matching Conference opened in Zhaoqing's Jinli High-tech Zone.

Jinli Town, with over 8,000 enterprises and 2,000 product types across 300 categories, exports to 90 countries and regions. In 2024 alone, 150 foreign trade firms generated 2.03 billion yuan in exports, forming a comprehensive industrial chain that spans from family workshops to smart manufacturing. The expo also marked the debut of the "Cross-border E-commerce + Jinli Hardware Belt" platform, signaling a new stage of digital, high-end, and green transformation.

This expo has invited ASEAN chambers of commerce and associations, including the Vietnam Construction Association, the Guangdong Enterprise Federation of the China General Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam, and the Hainan General Chamber of Commerce of South Korea.

With ASEAN's construction industry growing at 6.8% annually and strong demand, Vietnam alone imported 5 billion USD in Chinese building materials in 2024—Jinli hardware aims to deepen cooperation with the region.

Leveraging its strong market compatibility, Zhaoqing's 15–20% logistics cost advantage as a Greater Bay Area hub, and the export benefits of RCEP, Jinli will boost industrial synergy, align standards, and enhance services to make "Good Hardware, Created in Jinli" a trusted name in ASEAN infrastructure.

Several international cooperation agreements were also signed, including a cooperation memorandum between the Zhaoqing Municipal Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Guangdong Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam.

The expo introduced a follow-up initiative, “Visit Factories After the Expo,” allowing nearly 1,000 domestic and international buyers to conduct in-depth tours of Jinli's enterprises. This initiative is expected to accelerate the town's efforts to strengthen ties with ASEAN markets and expand its global reach.
