All 11 districts in Guangzhou have been graded low risk, according the latest update from the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission on April 23rd.

Should we wear masks when going out in low-risk areas?

Low-risk does not equal to no-risk. Residents in areas designated as low-risk should still pay attention to maintaining good habits to minimise their risk of exposure. The epidemic has not ended yet, therefore people must always wear masks when in crowded places or working in confined places and avoid unnecessary gatherings. If you show signs of running a fever or a persistent cough, please wear a mask and visit a designated hospital as soon as possible.
